Maha Ananda Siddha: Maha = huge, Ananda = bliss. Maha Ananda Siddha is the 19th Siddha in the lineage of famous Maha Siddhas of South India; as Agastyar, Bogharnath and Thirumoolar. This current Siddha, Maha Ananda has gone without food or water for since 2003, feeds and heals those that come to him daily and was told by Shiva he would live 500 years.

Siddha is able to know the intention behind the words and actions of everyone that come to him for any reason! His INTEGRITY is the HIGHEST. It is IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to participate with Siddha unless their Intentions are Pure. Currying favour with words, gifts or money with this great Siddha is Impossible and a waste of time.

Maha Ananda Siddha was born in Dharmapuri district on December 6, 1930. For some time he was engaged in the pleasant smelling turmeric trade.

When he was thirty five, he undertook renovation work in many temples in Tamil Nadu under the inspiration of Lord Siva. Then he started feeding the poor (Annadanam) at Lokuvakulam Bharadhwajeeswarar temple of Kalahasthi in Andhra Pradesh. On the midnight of December 25, 2002, Lord Siva appeared before Mahananda and said, “You are very fortunate in this life; you are a siddha with a boon to live for 500 years; Go to Mahadeva Mount and live in a cave there, worship Me and protect the devotees”. Lord Siva disappeared after that.

In obedience to the command of God, Mahananda Siddha reached Mahadeva mount. Lord Siva appeared again before Mahananda Siddha and said “you should brush your teeth and take bath only on the first day of Chithirai- April 14.

Shiva said to Maha Ananda Siddha:

• You should avoid seeking alms from anyone; all the wealth will be heaped here;
• You should protect all the living creatures in this mountain from disease and suffering;
• From now on you should stop eating food & drinking water to satisfy your hunger & thirst.
• “After giving this advice Lord Siva disappeared.

The form on the head of Mahadeva Swami is similar to the serpent with five heads on Lord Siva’s head. Mahananda siddha worships the idol with flowers that spread fragrance and leaves with good smell. He is a Siddha who sleeps by lying on a bed of fire. It is true that most people die without eating for drinking water, yet Mahananda Siddha has demonstrated that it is possible to live without taking food or water since 2003. It is a matter of wonder and fact to learn that this great Siddha lives amongst us on this planet at this time.

Maha Ananda Siddha and Siddha Medicine

Siddha Medicine is the greatest gift of the siddhas to mankind. Our Mahananda Siddha has learnt about many herbs by the grace of Bogar and he has been curing many persons suffering from many so called incurable diseases.He is an accomplished yogi, with a fund of knowledge and he is excellent at Siddha medicine. By making use of rare herbs, he makes those who have become dumb to speak and they praise him in ever so many words after regaining their speech. Even those who suffer from diseases of karma because of their past actions are cured. If women without children approach Mahananda siddha, the latter by the grace of God and by the power of his Tapas, by giving vilvam (leaf from the vilva tree found in Siva temples), Vibhoodhi and (herbal) medicine cure them of infertility and they beget children.

Free Medical Service - Once in a month, a medical camp is held in order to enable several persons to avail of the medical service. Many doctors with a humanitarian bent of mind take part in this social service.
